4-Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Lake Bunyonyi Safari

Your safari guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel after breakfast for a scenic journey to southwestern Uganda. The drive takes you through small towns, rolling hills, local markets, and beautiful countryside landscapes. Along the way, there will be a stop at the Uganda Equator for photography and refreshments. After lunch, the journey continues toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the evening and check into your lodge surrounded by forest scenery and fresh mountain air.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before starting your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek takes you deep into the rainforest while searching for a habituated gorilla family. Depending on gorilla movements, the trek can last between two and six hours. Once the gorillas are found, visitors spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching gorillas feed, groom, and interact is emotional and memorable. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and storytelling around the campfire.

After breakfast, drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, located near the Rwanda border. Often called the "Switzerland of Africa," Lake Bunyonyi is famous for its calm waters, green terraced hills, and numerous islands. Upon arrival, check into your lakeside lodge before enjoying optional activities such as canoe rides, community visits, bird watching, swimming, or nature walks. The evening offers stunning sunset views over the lake.

After breakfast, enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere at Lake Bunyonyi before starting the journey back to Entebbe or Kigali. The drive offers more opportunities to enjoy Uganda's scenic countryside and rural landscapes. There will be stopovers for lunch and photography along the way. Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to the airport or hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari.
