Your adventure begins at Kigali International Airport, where a professional safari guide greets you with a warm Rwandan welcome. After a short briefing, you set off to explore Kigali — a city known for its cleanliness, safety, and vibrant culture. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, Kimironko Market, or Kigali city viewpoints.
After lunch, the journey continues north toward Volcanoes National Park. The 2.5-hour drive reveals Rwanda's countryside — terraced farms, tea plantations, and villages nestled among endless green hills. Upon arrival at your lodge, check in, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Rise early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters. Rangers provide a detailed briefing about gorilla trekking rules, safety, and conservation. Groups are assigned based on fitness levels and gorilla family locations. The trek begins through bamboo forests, volcanic slopes, and misty rainforest. Depending on gorilla movement, the hike may last 1–6 hours.
Finally, the moment arrives — you find yourself face-to-face with a gorilla family. For one magical hour, you watch them feed, groom, play, and interact. The silverback's commanding presence, the playful juveniles, and the tender mothers with infants create an unforgettable wildlife encounter.
