Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Welcome to Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received by your professional safari guide. Thereafter, a comfortable transfer will be arranged to your hotel in Kigali.
Depending on your arrival time, a short city orientation tour may be conducted, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s history.
Afterward, you will relax at your hotel as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Dinner will be served at the lodge, where a briefing about your safari will also be provided.

Day 2: Kigali to Akagera National Park – Scenic Transfer & Game Drive
After breakfast, a scenic drive to Akagera National Park will be undertaken. Along the way, Rwanda’s rolling hills, local villages, and beautiful countryside will be observed, offering a glimpse into daily life.
Upon arrival, an afternoon game drive will be conducted. Wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, zebras, and antelopes are commonly seen in this park. Additionally, the landscape gradually transitions into open savannah, creating a classic safari atmosphere.
Later, you will check in at your lodge, where dinner and relaxation will be enjoyed. Consequently, the first real safari experience will have already begun.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Akagera National Park
A full day is spent exploring Akagera National Park through morning and afternoon game drives. Early in the morning, predators such as lions and leopards may be spotted, while later in the day, large herds of buffalo and elephants are often seen grazing.
In addition, a boat safari on Lake Ihema is included. During this activity, hippos and crocodiles are frequently observed, along with a variety of bird species. Therefore, both land and water experiences are combined to provide a complete wildlife encounter.

Day 4: Akagera to Kigali – Return & Relaxation
Following breakfast, a final short game drive will be carried out as you exit Akagera National Park. Thereafter, you will return to Kigali for a relaxed afternoon.
Lunch will be enjoyed in the city, and depending on your preference, optional visits to local markets or art centers may be arranged. This day allows time to unwind before continuing to the forest regions of Rwanda.

Day 5: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest – Journey Through Rwanda
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park. This drive is considered one of the most scenic routes in Rwanda, passing through tea plantations, rolling hills, and traditional villages.
Along the way, stopovers will be made for photography and cultural experiences, making the journey enjoyable and interactive. Upon arrival in Nyungwe, you will check in at your lodge and relax amidst the forest surroundings.
As a result, the transition from savannah to rainforest will be fully experienced.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk Experience

Day 7: Nyungwe to Lake Kivu – Relaxation by the Lake

Day 8: Lake Kivu to Volcanoes National Park

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
This day marks the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park.
The trek may take several hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. However, once they are found, a magical hour is spent observing them up close. This experience is often described as life-changing and deeply emotional.
