Trek the mystic Rwenzori Mountains. High glaciers, the Valley of Nine Lakes, bearded lichen on giant heathers, rocky cliffs and snow-capped peaks — Africa's third highest summit awaits.
Trekking the mystic Rwenzori Mountains National Park in Uganda is a truly fantastic and unique experience. The wonder of the high glaciers, the beauty of the Valley of Nine Lakes, the bearded lichen hanging from giant heathers against a backdrop of rocky cliffs, crags, and snow-capped peaks create one of Africa's most spectacular mountain adventures.
The wide variety of flora and fauna, with several biospheres as you ascend through different vegetation zones, creates the ultimate trekking experience. Never before has this unique and beautiful trek been so accessible, yet still totally untouched and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful mountain treks in the world.

Margherita Peak stands at 5,109 metres above sea level and is the third-highest peak in Africa. Climbing Margherita Peak is more of a hard scramble than a technical climb except for a few difficult sections. When snow conditions intensify, the ascent becomes more challenging, but the rewards and exhilaration of reaching the summit are enormous. From the top, climbers enjoy magnificent views across Albert Peak toward the Democratic Republic of Congo and eastward over the dramatic peaks and glaciers of the Rwenzori Mountains.
We provide all technical climbing equipment necessary for the climb including:

Lucky trekkers may hear chimpanzees echoing through the forest or encounter the rare L'Hoest monkey. Vegetation varies from giant forest trees and bamboo thickets to moss-covered vines, flowers, fungi, and hanging lichens creating an enchanting rainforest atmosphere. Nearby, Enock's Falls offers one of the most beautiful waterfall scenes in the mountains.
