Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International airport and transfer to your accommodation for an Overnight.

Meet your driver who will be waiting for you at the Airport exit lounge, he will have your name printed on the Airport signage to transfer your accommodation for an overnight.
Afternoon at leisure. Optional activities available like Mabamba visit, Ngamba sanctuary visit, sunset cruise.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National park. Drive time is approximately 5 hours. Afternoon Game drive.

After an early breakfast, depart to Lake Mburo national park. Lake Mburo National park is blessed with lots of green scenery and wildlife including the klipspringers visible on the metamorphic rocks that are believed to have existed for more than 500 million years. The park also has five lakes with other natural occupants including the zebras and it is believed that it has the biggest population of them at about 5000, Impalas, elands, buffaloes, oribi, Waterbucks, Leopards with the highest concentration of them in Uganda, hippo, hyena and reedbucks among others and plenty of bird species like the bare faced go away bird, Ruppell’s starling, black-bellied, mosque swallow and more different species which have made Lake Mburo one of the best birding tourist destinations

Enjoy an afternoon game drive, which is the best chance of sighting the wildlife like Impalas, elands, buffaloes, oribi, Waterbucks, Leopards among others. You can also extend to a night Game drive that can only be done in a few parks and Lake Mburo is among them. The game drive creates the best chances of sighting the nocturnal animals including leopard, spotted hyenas, genets, porcupines, bush babies and so much more. The drive lasts for over 3 hours. You can carry your spotlights for better views.

Luxury – mihingo lodge

Mihingo Lodge is a high-end lodge adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park offering one of the best views of the great Savannah plains and the only lodge in Uganda that offers day and night horse rides around the park.
Mihingo has 12 deluxe-tented rooms constructed to provide exclusiveness and tranquility in the perfect blend of the surrounding environment like the doorways are from dead olive wood pieces and the walls outside are painted the colors of the African soil. Each room is ensuite with 24-hour running water, flushing toilets, solar powered water heater among others.
 
 Mid-range – Rwakobo Rock Lodge
Rwakobo Rock is one of the most tranquil and calm places in the midst of the African savannah plains over facing the large expanse of rocks, the lodge was named Rwakobo Rock because it is situated on a hilltop. The ensuite rooms are scattered around the plains and all of them are very exclusive with high chances of sighting the zebra, Impala, Warthog among others. The lodge is located by Nshara gate, 8 kilometers off the main road connecting to Mbarara and Masaka town. The lodge can also arrange a camping site in the bush if the you choose to spend a night closer to the wilderness.
 
Budget – Mburo Eagle’s nest
Eagle’s Nest was built on the high hill nearing Lake Mburo National Park, a location that offers breath-taking views from a raised angle.

The facility is made of 10 ensuite tents with private bathrooms and eco-toilets. The tents can be arranged as singles, doubles or twin rooms and the major source of energy is the sun – the lodge runs on solar energy as a form of natural conservation.
There are great chances of sighting the lions, Chirping CRICKETS, Bush pigs from the restaurant.

Day 3: Morning boat cruise and an afternoon nature walk. Overnight and dinner at Rwakobo Rock.

Proceed for the morning boat cruise and it can either be scheduled or exclusive basing on your choice. The boat cruise lasts for over 2 hours with great sightings of wildlife resting along the shores of the lakes like African buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and monitor lizards, numerous bird species like the flamingos, African skimmer, kingfishers, and fish eagles among others plus bird species like the kinds of the kingfishers and also a home to the only African fin foot.

Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on your afternoon nature walk accessed through the different trails designed by Uganda Wildlife Authority like Rwonyo trail leading to the salt lick, Rubanga forest trail, along the shores of the lake and it is the best way for tourists to come to a full encounter with nature in the wild savanna plains as compared to the drive. Possible sightings on the walk include the zebras, Impalas, elands, buffaloes, oribi, Waterbucks, Leopard, hippo, hyena and reedbucks among others.

Day 4: Morning game drive and drive to Entebbe. End of services.

Enjoy an enroute game drive as nature awakes with the animals preparing to go hunt for their prey. Drive time is 5 – 6 hours from Lake Mburo National Park; connect directly to Entebbe International Airport.
