7 days through Uganda's misty forests, savannah plains, and tranquil lakes

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, a warm welcome is extended. A scenic drive westward through tea plantations and rolling hills leads to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of the world.

Morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest — habituated chimps are observed in their natural habitat. After lunch, a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park is made.

An early morning game drive across Kasenyi Plains reveals lions, elephants, and buffaloes. The afternoon is spent on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife are observed at close range.

The Ishasha sector is explored in search of the famous tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in fig trees. The journey then continues to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas.

The highlight of the safari — an early morning trek through dense rainforest leads to a mountain gorilla family. One unforgettable hour is spent observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

A scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park is undertaken. An afternoon game drive offers close encounters with zebras, impalas, elands, and buffaloes against a backdrop of acacia woodlands.

A guided walking safari offers a unique perspective on wildlife. The journey back to Entebbe includes a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos. A drop-off at the airport marks the end of the safari.
