5 days through Rwanda's misty mountains and tranquil lakes
Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, a meet and greet is conducted. A transfer to your hotel is arranged. In the evening, a welcome dinner with an introduction to Rwandan culture is provided.
Kigali → Volcanoes
A Kigali city tour is conducted, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial. A transfer to Volcanoes National Park is then made, with views of the Virunga Mountains along the way.
Gorilla Trekking
An early morning briefing is conducted before trekking through the bamboo forest. One hour is spent with a mountain gorilla family. An optional cultural village visit can be arranged in the afternoon.
Monkeys → Lake Kivu
A golden monkey trek is undertaken in the morning. A descent to Lake Kivu is then made, with a free afternoon to relax by the shore.
Lake Kivu → Departure
Breakfast is enjoyed overlooking the lake. A transfer back to Kigali is arranged for your departure flight. An optional boat ride can be taken before lunch.

Misty forests and ancient volcanoes – sanctuary of the mountain gorilla. This UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is home to habituated gorilla families and offers breathtaking views of the Virunga Massif.
